Our Commitment
Cosmoverse is dedicated to providing a professional, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for all participants—regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, or professional background.
We expect all participants to uphold these standards and contribute to a respectful and constructive environment.
Scope
This Code of Conduct applies to all Cosmoverse events, including:
Main conference sessions
Workshops and side events
Networking receptions and social events
Virtual and hybrid event components
Official communication channels (Telegram, Discord, email)
This Code also applies to conduct that occurs before, during, and after events if it impacts the Cosmoverse community.
Expected Behavior
All participants are expected to:
✓ Be respectful – Treat all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and staff with professionalism and courtesy
✓ Be inclusive – Welcome diverse perspectives and engage constructively with different viewpoints
✓ Be professional – Conduct yourself in a manner appropriate for an institutional business setting
✓ Be collaborative – Foster meaningful dialogue and knowledge sharing
✓ Respect privacy – Honor Chatham House Rules and confidentiality agreements in closed sessions
✓ Respect boundaries – Accept "no" and respect personal space and consent
✓ Report concerns – Speak up if you witness or experience violations of this Code
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
✗ Harassment – Including but not limited to:
Offensive verbal comments or jokes
Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
Stalking or intimidation
Inappropriate physical contact
Deliberate misgendering or deadnaming
✗ Discrimination – Based on protected characteristics including gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or national origin
✗ Disruption – Including:
Sustained disruption of talks or presentations
Heckling or aggressive questioning
Recording in designated no-recording areas
✗ Unprofessional conduct – Including:
Excessive intoxication
Aggressive networking or spam behavior
Unauthorized commercial solicitation
Misrepresentation of credentials or affiliations
✗ Fraudulent activity – Including:
Sharing misleading investment advice
Promoting fraudulent schemes or scams
Impersonation of attendees, speakers, or staff
✗ Violation of venue rules – Including smoking in prohibited areas, property damage, or safety violations
Consequences of Violations
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:
First Offense: Warning and documentation of incident
Serious or Repeated Offenses:
Removal from the event without refund
Ban from future Cosmoverse events
Reporting to appropriate authorities (if illegal activity)
Public statement about the incident (in severe cases)
Cosmoverse reserves the right to determine the appropriate response based on the severity and context of the violation.
Reporting Procedure
If you experience or witness a Code of Conduct violation:
During Events:
Immediate concerns: Notify event staff (wearing [identifying badge/color])

After Events:

All reports will be reviewed within 48 hours
What to Include:
Description of the incident
Date, time, and location
Names of individuals involved (if known)
Names of witnesses (if any)
Any supporting evidence (screenshots, photos, etc.)
Confidentiality: All reports will be handled with discretion. We will not disclose reporter identity without consent unless required by law.
Investigation Process
Upon receiving a report:
Acknowledgment – We will confirm receipt within 24 hours
Assessment – The incident team will evaluate the report
Investigation – We may gather additional information or witness statements
Resolution – Appropriate action will be taken based on findings
Follow-up – We will communicate the outcome to the reporter (within privacy constraints)
Support Resources
If you need immediate support:
Event staff: Available throughout the venue
Medical assistance: Contact venue security or dial local emergency services
Counseling: [Local counseling/support hotline if available]
Photography & Recording Policy
Photography and video recording are permitted in public areas unless otherwise indicated
Always ask for consent before photographing individuals directly
Designated "No Recording" areas must be respected
Closed-door sessions may operate under Chatham House Rules – respect confidentiality
Alcohol & Substance Policy
Alcohol may be served at certain events for guests of legal drinking age
Attendees are expected to consume responsibly
Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited
Intoxication that results in disruptive behavior will result in removal
